Assignment #2: Carly

That's pretty sad that I can't even complete my own assignment on time. Way to go, Elyse, for being the only one to get your pictures up before the deadline! If anyone else wants to post their results from this assignment at a later date, please do, but I am going to post a new assignment if you would like to try something else.

Assignment #2 {Elyse}

Today I found this great location just off I-15. I took my Sisters and our kids and actually found 2 objects to shoot. The first was this really rustic bridge. I got my 30 shots and then decided to try shooting this old tower. I fell in love with it and decided to switch my direction. I took about 30 shots and a bunch didn't turn out so I am sort of cheating and only posting 14 pics in my collage. Anyways here is my favorite shot from the bridge and my top 3 shots from the tower.

Don't laugh at my collage...I am a beginner!
P.S.- I had to add one of my little Sister, how cute is she?!?

Assignment #2: Perspective

Wow, everyone finished the first assignment so fast that I wasn't ready to go with the second assignment! This assignment will focus on perspective. Hopefully by the end of this assignment we will all be able to "think outside the box" a little more when composing a shot.

Here it is:

Pick an inanimate object (mailbox, stop sign, fire hydrant, etc.). Take 30 different pictures of the object. Every picture must look different from the others (post-production doesn't count - so don't try to pass off a black and white picture as a different shot). Get around, under, up close, far away-- whatever it takes to end up with 30 different perspectives of the same object.

Post 3-5 of your favorite shots when you have completed the assignment.

Bonus: Create a collage of all 30 shots and post that as well. Here's a short tutorial on creating montages in Photoshop.

Due date: Friday, April 10 at midnight
